### Waiting on Wednesday

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at

[Breaking the Spine](http://breakingthespine.blogspot.com/)

, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating. My choice this week:

City of Fallen Angels

, by Cassandra Clare

Publisher: Margaret K. McElderry

Release date: April 5, 2011

I know,

everyone's

waiting for this one, right? And with good reason! Cassandra Clare's writing is so much fun to read, with snappy dialogue, fast-paced action, and breathless romance. Something for every reader, really!

I loved The Mortal Instruments series, a contemporary urban fantasy originally conceived as a trilogy, so I'm excited to see Clare expand that world with three more books. Too, it sounds like certain characters from The Infernal Devices, the steampunk prequel series to The Mortal Instruments, will come into play in these next three books, which should be completely awesome. Sign me up!
