As professions in books I well have to say I glad you brought this topic because we are usually overlooked when it comes to getting ARCs when it would help us on when ordering for the library and when are co-workers come together to disgust what’s good out there for us to get. I’m glad I was able to go to this year ALA where I was able to get some ARCs and I have friend that share them with me. Other than that I would have any access to ARC which I also use as gift for my students, especially know when it so hard with budget cut to even get book for the library. By me reading the ARC and passing it to my student their able to have a book in their hands.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00317207099050027850[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6106305278604193777.post-40333121386565646282011-12-14T08:43:49.472-08:002011-12-14T08:43:49.472-08:00Thanks for reading! So smart that you're already hooked up with your local indie. <br /><br />I know what you mean about the budget... it's so tough to make purchasing decisions when funds are tight, isn't it? So many good books that deserve to be ordered. <br /><br />But even though we can't add them to our collections, ARCs can still be an awesome giveaway prize for library patrons. I'll be addressing that in my next post!Allisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06628530227439660832[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6106305278604193777.post-66559612785855365972011-12-13T21:02:38.930-08:002011-12-13T21:02:38.930-08:00Thank you so much for addressing this! I do get uncorrected proofs occasionally from my local indie bookstore, but have been thinking about starting to request them for my book review blog. I just wish that ARCs were finished products, so then I could circulate them in my library's collection (I have a minuscule budget).Moonlit Librarianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00981815023207321096[email protected]
