I'm Allison. I'm a teen services librarian, wife, and the mom of a toddler and a preschooler in Southern California. It can be a challenge to get a lot of reading done in the midst of changing diapers, running errands, and playing peek-a-boo-- not to mention going to work. So when I can grab a spare moment, I read anywhere, everywhere, and in any format… hence the title of my blog! I really do read everywhere. While I enjoy the occasional book aimed at adult readers, my literary home has always been in children's and YA literature. I made a career out of my passion, and that's primarily what you'll find here on this blog. As a librarian, I am energized by connecting young readers to books that they're going to love. I read widely in a variety of genres so I can make personal recommendations for all types of readers. I enjoy keeping up with the latest titles so I can suggest my favorite new reads to those kids who seem to have read the entire library already. (I was one of those kids!) I also review books and apps for [School Library Journal](http://www.schoollibraryjournal.com/) , and podcast about YA lit at [Authors are ROCKSTARS!](http://authorsarerockstars.com/) Contact me at alli.librarian @ gmail (dot) com About this blog Reading Everywhere has been online since January 2011. It is my personal blog. The opinions expressed here represent my own and not those of my employer. But what you really want to know is who designed that awesome blog header for me, right?
